This notion that we can be anything we want. We can be whatever we wish to be.
It’s not true.
We suck at a lot of things.
And we are all probably good at at a few things.
And really really good at possibly none until now.
And only if we hold on to those things that we are good at – and not stress upon what we are not good at
Do we have a chance to win
Our only chance to win
I am at a stage where I am consciously trying to find what I am good at. I work as a Product Manager and just love the thrill my responsibilities provide me. I definitely struggle at my job so I cannot say I am good at that.
My current approach – because I love what I am doing, even though i feel i am not good at that, I will keep doing it till I feel comfortable with the level of expertise I have achieved.
Is it an optimal approach? (it is painful as i feel i am struggling all the time)
Don’t define your worth basis the outcome. That will eventually come.
Define your worth basis the input. Are you good at giving all that is needed for you to get the desired outcome?
“Define your worth basis the input. Are you good at giving all that is needed for you to get the desired outcome?” — This is one of the most motivational thought I have.
